How to Add a Payload on the TruckIT Portal

Add a new material and unit of measure to a project

Updated this week

In this video, we will show you how to Add a Payload, which lets your drivers know what material they're picking up, where they're getting it from, as well as where it is going.

In the TruckIT portal, head into any of your current projects, and click the Add Payload button in the upper right-hand corner of the page. In the pop-up, you'll first identify which types of trucks you want running on this job. Feel free to pick as many types as you need, or just click select all.

Next, you will choose pickup and drop-off sites. These can either be chosen from your list of pre-created sites, or you can manually type in a new address.

After that, click on the Payload dropdown and pick the type of material. You can choose from all the materials on the list, or click the Add Payload button for a custom entry. Underneath that, you'll choose the unit of measure, whether that be hourly, per ton, cubic yard load, or cubic meter.

If there are any additional fields you need to add, such as a fuel surcharge or tax, you can click the Add fields button and manually enter them.

Click Save. Your payload will be saved into your project and you'll be ready to dispatch.
