How Backhaul works on TruckIT Portal

Backhauling means delivering material from Pick up 1 to Drop off 1, then from Drop off 1 back to Pick up 1, or another Drop off. For that purpose 'Backhauling' allows a driver to create a job

1. The Dispatcher can toggle the "Backhaul" flag to allow a driver from that job to create a backhaul job

2. Driver can click 'Backhaul' to create a job. The job statuses allowed with backhaul are active, paused, and closed (Not started/Pending excluded).

The job is created by the driver. The job date, time, rates, and the truck assigned to the driver (in case of multiple trucks) are copied from the previous job for the current day.

The Driver is allowed to change Sites on a job during its creation (only sites existing per company) and material (existing per company).

The Driver can create several backhaul jobs from one job.

3. Driver is allowed to edit sites and material for the job created by the driver (’Not started’ status only allowed):
