Using Anomaly Detection on the TruckIT Portal

Updated this week

In this video, we'll walk you through how to utilize Anomaly Detection, an advanced feature in the TruckIT Portal.

Anomaly detection will send you alerts for events that are considered out of the ordinary for your jobs. To set this up, you'll first head into the My Company section. From here, you'll head into settings and then into the notification section. Underneath Anomaly Detection alerts, you'll see five different toggles. You can mix and match these to your liking.

Idle Time lets you know if a driver is idle for too long, which may mean traffic, a tire blowout, or an engine issue.

A Crowded Zone tells you if one of the Geo Zones for one of your sites has too many trucks in it, which could indicate a backup at a quarry, a pit, or a job site.

A Slow Trip will let you know if your drivers are taking longer than anticipated to complete their run.

Late Driver lets you know if the driver is late to a pickup site.

Lastly, Missing Ticket will let you know if the number of tickets you have does not match the number of times that your truck or driver entered or exited Geo Zones.

Once you've toggled on the detections that you'd like and adjusted the values accordingly, make sure to click save.

The notifications for these alerts will pop up as a red notification in the bottom right of the screen in real-time, and will also be shown on the dashboard page in the notification feed.

Please make sure to check out all of our other tutorial videos and thanks for using TruckIT.
